history, culture and landscape where you will experience the wonder and beauty of
Morocco. This program is an excellent way to explore the Imperial Cities of Morocco,
and uncover many of Morocco’s key sites through the expertise of your specialist
driver.
You will visit the Hassan II Mosque (Casablanca), the capital of Morocco (Rabat), The
Blue Pearl of Morocco (Chefchaouen) and the historical city of Fes, drive through the
scenery of the High Atlas Mountains and continue the adventure through the
unbelievable glory of the massive Erg Chebbi dunes and much more on this memorable
exploration of the most diverse country in Africa. Experience the Berber lifestyle, enjoy
the services of a local Trip Leader and mark off superb bucket list inclusions, such as
overnights stay in Riad, Kasbahs and luxury camp in the Sahara Desert and a guided
tour of the vibrant Medinas in Rabat, Fes and Marrakech… This adventure never fails to

Day 1 Arrival at Casablanca international airport.
We will welcome you, assist you, pick up you at the airport and transfer you to your
hotel in Casablanca. You will go on a tour of the Hassan II Mosque, the largest outside
of Mecca and experience the coastal “Cornish” seaside, either this day or the next
morning, depending on what time your plane arrives.

Day 2 Casablanca → Rabat → Chefchaoun
After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll be departing for the capital of Morocco, Rabat. You’ll
enjoy time visiting the Hassan Tower and the Kasbah of Oudaya. The tower dates from the
12th century and features a beautiful interior that will introduce you to traditional Moroccan
architecture and decoration while the Kasbah will introduce you to another Moroccan
custom:bartering in ancient lanes and alleys.After lunch overlooking the sea and a bit of free
time to explore, we’ll be heading inland toward the famous “Blue City” of Chefchaoun located
in the Rif Mountains. Upon arrival, marvel at the two-tone city before you check into your
lodgings.

● Day 3 Chefchaouen → Volubilis → Fes.
Enjoy a traditional breakfast at the riad before setting out to explore the Blue
Moroccan town where you’ll enjoy snapping a thousand photos, walking around the
Kasbah, the Medina, the Jewish quarter, the Berber souks and perhaps meet some of
the artisans who create so much beauty. In the afternoon, set out for Fes. Your trip
may include stops at Volubilis and Meknes as time and interest dictate. The first area

features Roman ruins, in Meknes (a former imperial city) you’ll marvel at the tiled Bab
El-Mansour city gate dating from 1732. Upon arrival in Fes, get settled into your riad
for a rest night.

Day 4 Visit Fes
Your licensed National private guide will meet you after breakfast for a fascinating
tour of the spiritual capital of Morocco, Fes. The city, nestled in the hills, is mystical
and magical. You’ll be transported in time as you visit the most beautiful madrassa in
the nation, Al Qaraouine. Wander through the ancient medina and souks. Visit the
photogenic tannery and learn about the first steps in processing hides into the
beautiful leather handicrafts available around you. At the end of the formal tour, return
to the riad for a rest.

Day 5 Fes → Ifrane → Midelt → Erfoud → Merzouga.
Today will be packed with different panoramic vistas as we make our way from Fes through
the towns of Ifrane, Azrou, and Midelt, to the edge of the Sahara Desert. We’ll experience
glimpses of the Middle and High Atlas Mountains. We’ll enjoy traversing a serene cedar forest
while keeping our eyes out for sightings of the famous Barbary Apes in the area before
arriving at the Ziz Gorge, The canopy of palms are wedged between ancient striated cliffs
that date to the Jurassic period. As the day begins to wane, we’ll head to the impressive Erg
Chebbi dunes and your iconic Camel Ride. Enjoy the magic of riding a desert schooner at
beautiful sunset while you create unforgettable moments. After your ride, head to the camp
at the edge of the desert for an overnight stay you won’t soon forget. Dinner at your camp
will be followed by traditional Berber music under the stars… Pure Magic.

● Day 6 Erg Chebbi dunes tour (desert).
Enjoy a hearty breakfast in camp before we start venturing around the surrounding
villages to get closer contact with the Berber culture. Depending on your desires, we
may plan to visit Khamliya and listen to the local Gnaoua musicians who perform a
trance-like music enjoyed in the area for millenia or perhaps we’ll visit fossil sites and
processing centers in the region to see some really ancient history. or if you like, we
can arrange for dune buggy or quad rentals for a decidedly speedier trip around the
gorgeous red dunes. In any event, the day will conclude at a desert lodge where you’ll
admire the stellar night sky, and enjoy dinner and perhaps a second evening music
show.
Dinner and Overnight at Desert Kasbah / Camp / Riad
Day 7 Merzouga → Rissani → Todra gorges → Boumalen
dades.
It’s time to start heading west toward Marrakech, but before we get there, enjoy the day.
This morning, we’ll pack up and head first to Rissani, an important market town for the area.
Tour the local souk and expect to be astonished when you visit the market where local
nomads bring livestock for auction. Next, we’ll drive to the impressive Todra Gorge where
you can enjoy the walk through this narrow geologic wonder. The walls reach 300meters and
may offer some refreshing shade while you stretch your legs and marvel at the geology on
either side. Our day will include stopping at other natural sites before we arrive at your Riad.
Overnight in Boumalen Dades
Day 8 Boumalen dades → Ouarzazate → Ait Benhaddou Kasbah → Marrakech.
After breakfast, we drive to the Kalaat M’gouna (Rose City) while taking the road of a
thousand Kasbahs enroute to Ouarzazate where we’ll visit the “Hollywood of Africa” before
moving on to Ait Benhaddou; It is the largest Kasbah in Morocco and is a UNESCO World
Heritage Site where films such as Game of thrones, Gladiator and Prince of Persia, we’ll take
a walking tour tailored to your physical comfort. After spending approximately an hour at this
impressive site, it’s time to drive across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’Tichka pass
which features some impressive switchbacks and gorgeous scenery. We’ll stop for pictures
as we climb over the 2250+ meter pass. You’ll be amazed as we end the day in the famous
and chaotic city of Marrakech. Your riad will be centrally located and after you’re situated,
you may enjoy venturing out to get oriented to this former imperial city and the largest in
southern Morocco.

Day 9 Visit Marrakech
After breakfast in the riad, you’ll enjoy a private tour of magical Marrakech with a local city
guide. The guide will work with you to ensure you see as many of Marrakech’s highlights as
possible.These include the: Koutoubia Tower, Bahia Palace, Ben Youssef Madrassa, Majorel
Gardens, etc. Finish your tour walking through the souks and view a dazzling array of local
handicrafts before being escorted back to your lodgings. The remainder of the day is free to
take in the sights, smells and sounds of the UNESCO world heritage Jemaa el fna square,
relax in your riad, or haggle your way to retail nirvana in the souk.

Day 10 Departure to the airport
We’ll say our final goodbyes on the drive to the airport. Depending on your departure time
and city, the schedule for today will be planned individually.
